SatireSatire is "a literary term used to ridicule or make fun of human vice or weakness, often with the intent of correcting, or changing, the subject of the satiric attack." An example of satire is "The the impotence of proofreading" by Taylor Mali. We see how a student writing a paper in English class has misspelled almost every word. For example "You work very horde on a paper for English clash" he has misspelled two words and he continues doing it though the rest of the paper. He writes how a person works on a hard paper and gets d or even a d - "And then get a very glow raid (like a D or even a D=)" we can see that even to write D - he writes it incorrect. For "low" he writes "glow" for "grade" he writes "raid." "Proofreading your peppers is a matter of the the utmost impotence." "Peppers" should be written "papers" he wrote the word "the" twice. "Most" is incorrect he wrote "utmost" and threw out the whole paper he writes incorrect words. Using spell check is useless if we don't know the word we are looking for. We will be getting the in incorrect word anyways. Reading in the article "The Onion" called "6-Year-Old Boy Thinks He Might Be Too Old To Be In Women's Locker Room" a six year old boy tells a reporter that he is too old to continue accompanying his mother into the women's locker room at the local gym to old being six don't make him old. "I'm at that age now where every time I'm surrounded by grown, half-naked women I don't even know, I think to myself, 'What am I doing here? This isn't right,". This is funny how a six year old boy feels uncomfortable being around half naked women. The satire in this article is a boy that is claiming to be a old boy to be in a locker with half naked women when he is only six years old. I find this funny cause the boy is six he is a little boy it might not be okay for the mom to have him in the women's locker room but what will a little boy know at that age. "Advice to Youth" Mark Twain is giving youth advice about how to obey their parents going to bed early and waking up early. He mentions that when it comes to lieing they have to be careful because if they get caught then later will not believe them. Twain say "Most parents think they know better than you do," Twain says that we should respect our parents when they are around. We should respect are parents if they are around or not around. "The Storyteller" by H. H. Munro Bertha a little girl that was "horrible good" she had three medals, one for goodness, obedience and one for punctuality Bertha will always wear her medals were she went. The prince allowed Bertha to walk in his park once a week. Bertha always will carry her medals anywhere she went. While walking around the park she saw a wolf coming straight at her and ran as fast as she could and hide. The wolf didn't see Bertha no more so while he was leaving he heard Bertha medals hit one another and the wolf turn around to the bushes and grabbed Bertha and eat her the only thing left of Bertha was her shoes and her three medals that she always wear everywhere. The bachelor telling the kids the story told a better story than the aunt. The aunt was telling her nephews a story that was boring them. The Bertha wouldnt had die if she maybe didnt had wear her medals everyone in town new she was "horrible good" she didn't had to show her medals everywhere she went. An article by Cernig Reading Satirical Articles Can Get You Tortured, Sent To Gitmo, CIA takes everything so seriously is like if they didn't have no scene of humor. The CIA held a British guy after confessing that he had visit a website on how to build a nuclear weapon it was a joke the CIA takes everything seriously. The CIA can't take anything as playing for them everything is seriously the word bomb can maybe not be allowed to be said they might taking someone is planning something against the country. "Binyam said that he told them about a website he had once seen on the internet called How To Build An H-Bomb. He said that this was a joke but they thought it might be serious." Once a again they lost the sense of humor they can't distinguish from what is a joke to the true. This cartoon it show how a baby bird is bring money to the dad and how there are birds dead around these can only mean that they where starving there is not enough money for food. Instead of the dad bring money the baby bird is the one bring the money. We see how the big bird is wearing a suite and a tie. Satire is used to make fun of someone, the situation that person might be on or someone weakness. Like these picture or the articles I have mention on top .
